1. How do I open an account?
For Local Customer, we would require you to fill in the Customer Registration Form and submit together with the Company Profile.
For Overseas Customer, we would require to fill in the Customer Registration Form and submit together with the Company Incorporation Certificate.
Please print and fill in the Customer Registration Form and fax it to (65) 6745-6595 together with the Company Profile/Company Incorporation Certificate. With these documents provided, our finance department can process your request in opening an account.

** For local rental, minimum rental period is seven (7) days.
For overseas rental, minimum rental period is one (1) month.

3. What are the benefits of Rental?

4. Is there a minimum rental period?
Yes. We offer a flexible rental term for local rental, periods as short as seven (7) days to twelve (12) months and extend your rental contract anytime.
For overseas rental, the minimum rental period is one (1) month.
5. What if I need help on equipment selection?
We are ready to assist you in selecting the right product for your application. We would be delighted to supply you with a quotation.
6. Do you supply Calibration Certificate if required?
Yes. We have a strict quality control system to ensure the best condition of lease equipment, which conforms to ISO 9002 standards. We have close relationships with several ISO registered vendors in case calibration duties are required locally.
In Japan, our technology centre in Tokyo and Kobe are equipped with various standard equipment to maintain traceability to the national standards and in-company standards. Reference standards are periodically collated with the national standards by Japan Electric Meters Inspection Corporation (JEMIC), Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA), Measurement Laboratory and other institutions.
7. What happen when the equipment breakdown?
Contact ORS if there are any problems with equipment breakdowns or malfunctioning during the rental period. Aiming to minimize your inconvenience, ORS shall make its best effort to supply replacement of an identical or similar item of equipment within seven (7) working days of notification.
8. What happen at the end of rental period?
You can choose to return the equipment, renew the rental agreement, or purchase the equipment at the fair market value. Please contact ORS.
9. Can I purchase the equipment at the end of rental period?
Yes, please contact ORS for further details.
10. How do I extend the rental period?
Contact ORS and we will be pleased to extend the rental period for you.
11. Can I cancel the rental contract earlier?
Yes, we will adjust the charges accordingly.

For example: Committed rental period of 6 months for basic monthly fee of S$100/mth.
Actual rental period of 4 months for basic monthly fee of S$100/mth
Additional payment to make up for the change in discount rates (35% to 25%, difference of 10%)
Contract now calculated as a 4 months period instead of a 6 months period:
(4 x $100 - 35%) - (4 x $100 - 25%) = ($40)

Therefore customer would have to pay $40 to make up for the difference in discount rates.
** For overseas insurance coverage, no refund will be provided in the case of early termination.
** No early termination is allowed for rental period less than 1 month.
12. How do I arrange for the equipment to be returned?
Please contact ORS. Equipment should be returned in its original packaging in order to avoid shipping damages. You will be responsible for shipping damages due to inadequate packaging. Labour incurred to repair unit damaged due to customer’s negligence will be billed. Please check the accompanying accessories against the list. If any accessory is missing, you are responsible for the replacement costs. (Accessories are not covered by insurance)
13. Can you supply further technical information on products?
Yes. We are happy to fax the complete data sheet on any product listed on this website or in our catalogue. We have excellent relationships with all the major manufacturers which enable us to keep the latest product information available at all times.
14. Is the equipment under insurance coverage?
Yes. All equipment is insured for the entire rental period locally. In the event when the equipment is lost or damaged, please inform ORS immediately. A police report would be required from the Hirer. If any loss or damage is not fully claimable or is rejected by the insurer, the hirer is fully responsible to make good the loss or damage
For overseas rental, full equipment insurance cover for the rental period can be arranged for an additional charge. If this option is not selected, the equipment insurance becomes your responsibility from the collection of equipment to its return.
15. Can I take the equipment abroad?
It is essential however that you call ORS to let us know where the equipment will be located.
The equipment rented or sold to customers by ORS is for use exclusively within Singapore. If the equipment is to be exported, please contact ORS. In such cases, the hirer is responsible, as the exporter, for conforming to customs rules and regulations of Singapore and other relevant countries.
16. What happen if I lost the equipment?
In the event when the equipment is lost or damaged, please inform ORS immediately. A police report would be required from the Hirer. If any loss or damage is not fully claimable or is rejected by the insurer, the hirer is fully responsible to make good the loss or damage.
17. What happen if I lost the accessory of the equipment?
When returning rented equipment, please check the accompanying accessories against the list. If any accessory is missing, you are responsible for the replacement costs. (Accessories are not covered by insurance)
